Houston Zoo

On Wednesday this week we went to the zoo with our neighbor Perla and her son Rick. The boys absolutely adore each other so this play date at the zoo was tons of HOT fun. We arrived around 10:30 am and everyone was excited to get a map and find the animals.


They got to let a baby alligator at the entrance.


The elephants were one of the few animals out that we could easily see. All the others were indoors or hiding in the shady places. We even got to see the elephants playing in the water. Lots of babies and they were so cute!!





The new gorilla exhibit was amazing to see but we only saw two sleeping gorillas from a far because it was just too hot for them to be out.



The kids snacked and drank pretty much the entire time! They were hot and tired!





The gorillas behind Sophia were just a photograph.


After the zoo, we had lunch at niko Nikos and then headed home. The kids did a great job and it was super nice to go with a friend and have the extra helping hands! Perla pushed the stroller the majority of the time for me and pushed all four kids on the way back to the car! She didn't want me to get too tired being 7 months pregnant in the 95!degree heat of June!
